2026 Sarasota County Summer Camp Guide

Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources offers 10 weeks of summer fun for children entering grades elementary through high school. These camps provide a variety of safe and enjoyable summer recreation opportunities for your children.

Day Camp: Designed for children entering grades 1 through 5, the camp includes weekly themes, multiple field trips a week, physical activity, creative arts, reading, science and nature, safety and wellness, unstructured play and character-development activities.

We are pleased to partner with The Patterson Foundation for the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. All of our day campers participate in the Suncoast Summer Reading Challenge, which encourages a summer full of reading fun and exciting rewards!

Adventure Camp: Youth entering grades 6 through 8 participate in multiple field trips a week as well as sports, games, arts, crafts, reading and more.

Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.): An elite group of hand-selected high school students learn skills that will prepare them to become successful camp counselors. C.I.T. participants assist counselors and have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours.

Specialty Camp: Each camp focuses on a specific theme, allowing campers to focus on a favorite activity or try something different.
