Sarasota County Schools is pleased to announce that Mrs. Lindsay Gallof – the current Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Sarasota High School – has been selected as the new Principal of Brookside Middle School. She will assume her new role effective Tuesday, July 1.

“There isn’t a better choice than Mrs. Gallof to lead Brookside to new and advanced programmatic heights,” commented Rachael O’Dea, Deputy Superintendent & Chief Academic Officer. “Her steadfast leadership, commitment, and heart for education will give the Brookside team and community many opportunities to showcase what a privilege it is to be a Brookside Barracuda!”

“It is an honor to serve as the new Principal of Brookside Middle School,” said Gallof. “As a proud graduate of Sarasota County Schools, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape who I am today. I look forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, supportive families, and inspiring students to build on Brookside’s strong tradition of excellence and ensure every student achieves.”

Mrs. Lindsay Gallof earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education: Varying Exceptionalities from the University of South Florida and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. Gallof holds certifications in Educational Leadership (K-12), School Principal (K-12), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), and Math (5-9). Additionally, she has endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages (K-12) and Reading (K-12).

Prior to assuming her current role as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Sarasota High School in July 2023, Gallof served as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum at Venice High School. She has additionally served at Venice High School as the Assistant Principal of Administration and as an Assistant Principal supervising Exceptional Student Education, Social Studies, Project 10, Dropout Prevention and Attendance. Gallof also served as an Assistant Principal Intern at Riverview High School, a Program Specialist with Sarasota County Schools’ Student Support Services department, a Behavior Specialist at Riverview High School, and an Exceptional Student Education Liaison at Riverview High School, among other roles.
