October is filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate our Tigers! Congratulations to our Attendance Champion classrooms—Mordente, Wolleon, Orban, and Evers! Thank you for helping students arrive each day ready to learn.

Please review the arrival and dismissal procedures included in the newsletter. These procedures come directly from our Family Handbook, which families received at the beginning of the school year.

• Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m.

• After 8:25 a.m., visitor badges will no longer be issued, and parents will not be permitted to walk their child to class.

• Students should be in their classrooms ready to learn by 8:30 a.m.

• There are no early dismissals after 2:30 p.m. Please plan appointments and pickups accordingly.

Please also review our reminders about keeping toys, squishies, fidgets, and gum at home unless they are part of a documented accommodation. Beginning October 19, repeated toy-related violations may result in a Notice of Concern and items being held for parent pickup. We appreciate your support in keeping our classrooms focused on learning.

We encourage you to review our Rude, Mean, or Bullying guide with your child. Talking through concerns and encouraging children to seek help from a trusted adult supports our expectations to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.

This month’s ASD Spotlight celebrates AAC Awareness Month and reminds us that every Tiger deserves to be heard, understood, and included.

There are many ways to stay involved this month! Join us for SAC, the Tiger Tribe Zoom meeting, Culver’s Spirit Night, and Trunk or Treat. Be sure to explore the district’s In Touch newsletter and upcoming parent learning sessions about gifted eligibility and the magnet school process.
