I’ll start with a little honesty this week — in the rush of the holiday season, I completely forgot to send Miller’s Minute last night! The good news is… today’s version is packed with important information, so thank you for your grace as we all juggle this busy time of year.---
STEM Night – Tuesday, 12/16
Please join us tonight, Tuesday, December 16th from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria to see the incredible work some of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students completed for their Science Fair projects. We are so proud of their creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance — come celebrate their hard work!

5th Grade Winter Concert – Thursday, 12/18
Our 5th graders are ready to shine!
· Student arrival: 5:30 p.m.
· Concert begins: 6:00 p.m.
We can’t wait to enjoy this special performance together.

Winter Break & Return to School
Our much-anticipated Winter Break will run from December 22nd through January 2nd.
· Monday, January 5th is a Professional Day for teachers (no school for students).
· Students return to campus on Tuesday, January 6th.

FAST Reading Testing – Coming Soon
When we return from break, we will jump right back into learning with FAST Reading assessments for the following grades:
· January 7th – Grade 2
· January 8th – Grade 1
· January 9th – Kindergarten

Important Information for Grade 5 Families
As we prepare for our exciting transition to a K–8 model, we ask our current 5th grade families to please complete the 6th Grade Enrollment Interest Survey for the 2026–2027 school year: Fill out form 6th Grade Enrollment Interest for 2026-2027 School Year
Your input is incredibly important, as this information directly helps guide staffing and planning. We truly hope you will choose to remain part of the Gulf Gate family-the longer we can keep our Tigers with us, the better!
Additionally, we invite you to learn more about what next year will look like for our new 6th graders at our Grade 5 Parent Informational Meeting: January 8th at 5:00 p.m. in the Media Center
