As summer approaches, we invite families to register their children for THIS BOOK IS COOL!, a free summer reading program designed to keep children engaged in reading. Books will be delivered to schools for families who register before May 4, 2026.
Since launching in 2020, THIS BOOK IS COOL! has helped thousands of children across the Suncoast region build stronger reading habits. In 2025, more than 4,100 children participated, experiencing the joy of reading throughout the summer.
Registered children receive:

A TBIC! activity guide with puzzles and activities connected to the books
Access to online webisodes that bring each book to life
Reward bracelets and brag-tags to celebrate reading milestones
