Team E: Erenhaft’s and Eicher’s classes joined together in Ms. Daughtry’s science portable to become Lego race car engineers. To review the unit on energy, force and motion, the 2 classes watched a race and reflected on what made the cars successful. Then students used already built designs or built a new vehicle, tested them out then raced against each other! We learned less friction helped the speed to win a race! #HooRahForSouthside 🏎️💨
Fireman Tommy visited our Kindergarteners to teach about Fire Safety! He taught about what to do in case of a fire, how to check your smoke detectors and even showed us what he looks and sounds like with his fire gear on so we don’t get scared of firefighters if we are ever in an emergency situation and need assistance.
