· Lost & Found items for this month will be set out in front of the office during lunches on Wednesday. Stop by and look for anything you have lost. Items will be donated on Thursday.
· The Annual Peramathon T-Shirt contest has started! Designs must be submitted to the office by September 26. Draw or computer generated on 8.5"x11" white paper and signed by the artist.
· Who wants a tasty afterschool snack? HOSA will be selling Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and nuggets after school today! Bring $6.00 and stop by the Auditorium steps on your way home!
HIGH:
· Interested in Biology and biotechnology? Come join Biomedical Engineering Society in Mrs. Kehler’s room in Purple #121. Our first meeting is on Tuesday, Sept. 17th from 1:00-2:00pm.
· Staff from the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections office will be on-site to register students to vote and recruit student poll workers Wednesday, September 17th beginning at 1:00 p.m. outside the auditorium. As a poll worker, students can earn money and community service credits for each election they work! Check out the flyers around campus and don’t miss this great opportunity!
· The Pine View Dance Club has started! Please join us in the Band Room #811 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-3:00pm. Please wear comfortable clothes.
· High School Students: Pine View is bringing back Summer Stock this year with an amazing performance of “She Kills Monsters!” Come out on Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 to join a quest, fight some monsters, and maybe gain some understanding along the way. Students are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. See you there!
MIDDLE/HIGH:
· Feeling creative? Come join the Drawing & Chill Club! Every Tuesday during 7th period in Blue Bldg. #306.
· Do you need some help with your STEM research? We can help! Please join us on Fridays in Mrs. Flahavan’s room, Yellow #121, during 7th period.
· 7-12th graders: Do you want to learn about journalism in a fun and casual environment? Come to Journalism Club on Tuesdays from 1-2pm in 17-117.
· Tutoring Club meets every Thursday in Yellow #121.We have tutors who can help with all subject areas.
MIDDLE:
· The Go Gold Campaign is under way! The Middle School Student Council is fundraising to help cure childhood cancer. There are collection containers in middle school classrooms and there will be a Go Gold Galleria merchandise sale on Sept. 23rd & 24th outside Green Bldg. during lunch. Keep donating and think about wearing GOLD on Sept. 30th.
· Attention students in grades 6-8: Do you LOVE math and problem solving? You are encouraged to join MATHCOUNTS! Meetings are held every Friday during lunch. 6th gr. will meet in Ms. Burkett’s room 17-206 and 7/8th gr. will meet with Mrs. Vest in 17-118. Please see Mrs. Vest or Ms. Burkett for a club permission slip.
· This week Girls Volleyball and Boys/Girls Tennis games are home at 6:00pm, today vs. Sarasota and Wednesday vs. Skye Ranch. Students are $2 and adults are $3 at the door.
ELEM: Hooty Harvest is coming on Oct. 24th from 4-6pm! Step into the world of gaming stations, glowing pumpkins, and endless giggles! The Class of 2027 is holding a Fall Party for all elementary students. Deadline to register is Oct. 4th.Be sure to turn in your registration to the front office to join in the fun!
