We are proud to announce that 9th grade reading teacher, Shanica Senior, has been named North Port High School's Literacy Teacher of the Year!!!! Ms. Senior is now in the running for the Sarasota Reading Council's District Literacy Teacher of the Year award. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to our students!

Team Sarasota earned their highest finish ever in the State Academic Olympics, finishing at an extremely close second place. Congratulations to the team, and a huge congratulations to team member and NPHS senior, Kevyn Dufresne! Kevyn has been a standout in the Academic Olympics all year, and we are extraordinarily proud of his effort and accomplishments!

NPHS's Orienteering team competed in the State Championship event in Ocala over the weekend! We placed: 4th on the yellow course trophy 🏆 6th on the green course 9th on the orange course 25 high school participated with a total of 416 runners We have 2 runners 🏃 that are number one in the state of Florida!!! Alexas Floyd Ethan Farnham And six other runners 🏃 In the top 10 Thank you to Julie King, Coach C, and Vincent Floyd for all of their support!

Our students were honored to visit their friends at Glenallen Elementary to share their passion for art, music, theater and more on Art Day! Thank you to our gracious hosts for this amazing collaboration event!
