Confetti and hats flew at 5:00 after superintendent Terry Connor recognized the BHS Class of 2026! On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Sarasota's Booker High School graduated 340 students. Held at Robarts Arena at the Sarasota Fair Grounds it was standing room only for the late arrivals with thousands of guests in attendance. With a typical processional, presentation of colors, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, musical presentations, speakers and more the event went on without a hitch. Dr. Rachel Shelley, principal of the school, gave a heartwarming send-off speech that was more than a farewell to her graduates as she prepares for her own retirement. Several school board members were present to congratulate the students and superintendent Terry Connor recognized the BHS Class of 2026 by 5:00 PM.
