As principal of Bay Haven School of Basics Plus, I would like to welcome you to another extraordinary year of excellence in and out of the classroom. I am excited about the opportunity to lead a school with such an outstanding reputation for academic, emotional, musical, and artistic success. It is my goal to work with our staff to strengthen our student and family relationships, teach and expect positive behavior choices, challenge all students with rigorous academic standards and celebrate our tremendous cultural diversity. Our staff wants Bay Haven to be the best elementary school in the Sunshine State! Bay Haven School of Basics Plus has been nationally recognized as a National School of Merit and has received the “A” rating by the Florida Department of Education.

Our entire staff is dedicated to making each student’s experience at Bay Haven engaging, inspiring and challenging! In addition, we can only accomplish this by ensuring that our students function in a safe, innovative, and exciting environment which creates motivated learners. Our students and families are encouraged to get involved in the variety of activities that our school, community, and PTO offers; all of which are outstanding and provide avenues for the wide-ranging interests of our children. Our expansive school community, consisting of students, staff, parents and business partners in the Sarasota area, are critical to the success of Bay Haven students. There are many opportunities for parents and community members to share their time, talent, and treasures at Bay Haven. I encourage you to contact your child’s teacher, the PTO or me to discuss the multiple ways you can invest in your child’s education at Bay Haven.
