Miller’s Minute – This Week’s Updates
Hello Gulf Gate families! As we head into Thanksgiving week, I want to take a moment to share how truly thankful we are for our amazing students and families. Your support, kindness, and partnership mean so much to our entire school community. We wish each of you a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving break filled with time with loved ones.
📅 Thanksgiving Break Reminder
Just a reminder that there is no school for students or staff next week, November 24–29. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, December 1. We will also skip Miller’s Minute next week due to the break.
🥫 Mayor’s Feed the Hungry – Last Chance to Donate!
We only have a few days left in our Spare Change Drive, which ends Thursday, November 21. All change and donations are being collected in the front office. Every amount makes a difference—thank you for helping support families in our community.
🐅 Tiger Trot Week Is Here!
We are excited to celebrate Tiger Trot Week, our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Pledges & Donations:
Pledges are coming in, but we still need your help! Our school goal is $13,000, and we are counting on each family to help their child collect pledges—either online or using the envelope sent home.
Tiger Trot Day – Friday, November 21
Run times are as follows:
Pre-K, AIM, Kindergarten, 1st Grade – 8:45 AM
2nd & 3rd Grade – 10:00 AM
4th & 5th Grade – 11:15 AM
If your class time differs, your teacher will contact you directly.
Important Reminders for Tiger Trot Day:
Friday is a NO BACKPACK DAY. Please have students leave backpacks at home.
If you plan to take your child home after the event, please sign them out at the bus loop with their teacher before leaving.

📘 AP2 FAST Assessment (Grades 3–5)
Reading FAST assessments for grades 3, 4, and 5 will begin the first week of December. Thank you for helping students arrive on time each day.
