We have a busy and exciting week ahead, and I’m so glad to share several important updates and opportunities with you.
📅 No School – Monday, January 19
Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, January 20.
🌟 Introducing the Tiger Tribe – A New Parent Group!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news and a wonderful opportunity. A passionate group of parents is launching Tiger Tribe, a parent organization designed to support our teachers & staff through volunteering, assisting with current events, and creating new & engaging ways for families to partner with our school.
Tiger Tribe’s first meeting will be:

📸 Class & Group Pictures – Tomorrow
Just a friendly reminder that class and group pictures will be taken tomorrow on campus. Please be sure your child is ready for picture day!
📘 FAST Math Testing – Grades K–2
FAST Math testing continues this week for students in Kindergarten through Grade 2:
Tuesday: Grade 2
Wednesday: Grade 1
Thursday: Kindergarten
Thank you for helping students arrive rested, on time, and ready to do their best.
🎶 4th Grade Musical Concert – Thursday Night
We’re looking forward to our 4th Grade Musical Concert this Thursday evening in the cafeteria.
Student arrival: 5:30 p.m.
Concert begins: 6:00 p.m.
We can’t wait to see our students shine on stage!
🐔 Chick-fil-A Spirit Night – Friday 5pm -8 pm
Friday night is no-cook night! Join us at Chick-fil-A (5330 Clark Road) and be sure to mention Gulf Gate Elementary. A portion of the proceeds will come back to our school to support classroom enhancements, field trips, and more. Thank you for supporting our Tigers!
📱 Important Cell Phone Reminder
Please remind your child that cell phones and smart watches must be turned off and kept in backpacks during the school day.
If a phone is found out:
First offense: Phone will be held in the office and returned at the end of the day.
Second offense: A parent will be required to pick up the phone.
Thank you for helping us reinforce this important expectation at home.
