📌 First Week at a Glance
Gulf Gate Spirit Day is EVERY FRIDAY! See below for information on how to purchase your Gulf Gate Spirit Shirts!
Walking your child to class – Starting tomorrow, bring photo ID for Raptor check-in. Entry starts 8:15 a.m., stickers available starting 8:00 a.m. At this time, we ask that you say goodbye to your child at the door and allow our teachers to escort them inside. Please exit the building by 8:25 a.m.
Breakfast – Entry at 8:00 a.m. All others enter at 8:15 a.m. or later.
Instruction – Students in seats & ready to learn by 8:30 a.m.
Lunch with Parents – Begins Monday, 8/25 in the outdoor courtyard (with your child only).
Helmets – Required for bikes & scooters (Florida law).
Stormy Weather Dismissal – Lightning within 8 miles = parent pickup required.
🚪 Morning Arrival & Walking Students to Class
Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, 8/13), any parent walking their child to class must bring a photo ID and check in through our Raptor system.
Building entry begins at 8:15 a.m., but you can arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. to get your Raptor sticker.
Please arrive early so we can have everyone out of the building by 8:25 a.m. to start learning right at 8:30! We want to keep our campus safe and secure for learning.
🍎 Breakfast & Morning Drop-Off
Students eating breakfast may enter at 8:00 a.m.
All other students/guardians should enter no earlier than 8:15 a.m.
Students not enrolled in before care should not be dropped off before 8:00 a.m. – there’s no adult supervision before that time.

🥪 Lunch with Your Child
We’re excited to welcome parents for lunch beginning Monday, 8/25. Your name must be on the student’s Portal.
Parents may eat with their child only in our outdoor courtyard area (check weather prior).
Please check with your child’s teacher for lunch times.
🚲 Bikes, Scooters & Safety
Florida law requires helmets for all students riding bikes or scooters.
If your child doesn’t have one, let us know – we can help!
Students cannot ride home without a helmet. They will leave their bike and walk until a helmet is available.
⛈️ Stormy Weather Dismissal
If lightning is detected within 8 miles of campus, we will call for a Stormy Weather Dismissal – parents/guardians must pick up their child.
In the case of stormy weather, students will not be permitted to ride their bike/scooter or walk home.
This does not apply to rain or distant lightning. Lightning is monitored through a district approved weather program and is usually a last minute call. Please keep an eye yourself on the weather!
