Spirit Night at Culver’s – Thursday, October 9th Skip the cooking and join us for Spirit Night at Culver’s (7250 S. Tamiami Trail) from 4:00–7:00 p.m. this Thursday! Just mention Gulf Gate Elementary when you order, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to our school. Dinner’s easy—and dessert there is delicious!

Open House for Grades 3–5 – Thursday, October 9th We can’t wait to welcome our families to Open House for Grades 3–5, also this Thursday, October 9th from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Come see all the great learning happening in our classrooms!

No School for Students – Monday, October 13th There will be no school for students on Monday, October 13th, as this is a Professional Day for staff.

Early Dismissal Reminder If you plan to pick your child up early, it must be before 2:30 p.m. Please notify your child’s teacher that morning so they can prepare your child’s materials. This helps us keep students safe and prepare them for the dismissal.

Exciting News – All Pro Dads Coming to Gulf Gate! We’re thrilled to announce that Gulf Gate Elementary is launching its very own chapter of All Pro Dads! This is a special opportunity for dads (or any father-like figure) to spend one morning a month (7:15–8:00 a.m.) connecting and making memories with their children. Join us for our Launch Party on Monday, October 20th from 7:15–8:00 a.m.! To sign up, simply scan the QR code on the flyer that follows. This will be meaningful time you and your child will cherish together!

A Note from Mrs. Miller
As we move through the first quarter, I want to take a moment to share something important. Lately, we’ve seen an increase in students using unkind and inappropriate language toward one another, including racial slurs. This language is hurtful and not acceptable at school.
At Gulf Gate, we teach and model respect, empathy, and kindness every day — and we know these lessons are most powerful when reinforced at home. Please take a few minutes to talk with your child about the power of words and the importance of treating everyone with kindness and respect.
Thank you for your partnership in helping our Tigers grow into caring, compassionate individuals. Together, we make Gulf Gate a place where everyone feels valued and included.
