Sarasota County Schools is inviting community members, STEM professionals, businesses, and organizations to support the 2027 STEM Fair as judges, sponsors, donors, and exhibitors.
The annual STEM Fair gives students an opportunity to explore real-world questions, develop innovative solutions, and present their research to members of the community. Volunteers and community partners play an important role in celebrating student achievement and encouraging the next generation of scientists, engineers, creators, and problem-solvers.
STEM Fair judges may participate in one or both rounds of judging. Virtual judging will take place January 19-20, 2027, through the zFairs platform. In-person judging will be held Thursday, February 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Robarts Arena in Sarasota. Judges can select their preferred categories and the round or rounds that fit their availability.
Community partners can also support the STEM Fair through monetary contributions, in-kind donations, special student awards, or participation as an exhibitor during the Family EXPO. Sponsorships help provide student prizes, T-shirts, event materials, and other resources.
The Family EXPO and Awards Ceremony will take place Thursday, February 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Robarts Arena. The evening will feature interactive STEM activities, community exhibitors, and recognition of outstanding student projects.
