Fifth-grade student Noah Moise was recently surprised during a special on-campus ceremony after being named the 2025–2026 Florida AAA School Safety Patroller of the Year. The honor is awarded annually to one student in the state who exemplifies leadership, responsibility, and a commitment to school safety.
Selected during one of the program’s most competitive years in nearly a decade, Noah earned the distinction for his dedication to serving his school community and helping ensure the safety of fellow students.
As captain of Tuttle Elementary’s Safety Patrol, Noah leads the patrol team each morning, assisting students as they arrive on campus and serving as a role model for younger classmates. His teacher and Safety Patrol advisor, Justine Holcomb, nominated him for the award, citing his leadership, character, and genuine desire to help others.
“Noah is a true leader in everything he does,” said Tuttle Elementary Principal Dr. Patti Folino. “His presence, the way he interacts with his peers, and the respect he shows to both students and adults make him incredibly deserving of this recognition.”
According to Noah, serving on Safety Patrol has provided opportunities to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds while making a positive difference on campus.
“I wanted to help people,” Noah said. “I want to live in a society where everyone gets along.”
Noah also shared that his commitment to leadership and service is inspired by his father, who passed away last year and encouraged him to work hard, be respectful, and follow his dreams.
Representatives from AAA, Sarasota County Schools, and Tuttle Elementary joined students and staff for the surprise award presentation. As part of the recognition, Noah received a plaque and a $300 gift card from AAA. Tuttle Elementary School also received a $100 voucher.
The AAA School Safety Patrol program has been promoting student leadership and traffic safety for more than 100 years. Today, the program includes more than 679,000 student patrollers serving in approximately 35,000 schools nationwide.
Sarasota County Schools congratulates Noah on this outstanding achievement and thanks him for his leadership, service, and commitment to keeping students safe.
