Sarasota County Schools is inviting families of incoming kindergarten students to celebrate this exciting milestone at the annual Kickoff to Kindergarten events.
These free, family friendly events are open to all families with children entering kindergarten in 2026 at a Sarasota County public or charter school. Each event offers an opportunity to connect with schools and learn more about the kindergarten experience in a fun and welcoming environment.
Families can enjoy free food, games, dancing, and giveaways while meeting staff and building connections before the start of the school year. Events are first come, first served.
Kickoff to Kindergarten will take place on the following dates and locations:
• April 21 at Garden Elementary School, 700 Center Road, Venice
• April 28 at Suncoast Technical College, 4748 South Beneva Road, Sarasota
• April 30 at Suncoast Technical College, 4445 Career Lane, North Port
All events will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
