College Colors Day Information
Dear SMS families:
I want to take a moment to share how proud I feel to be the leader of SMS and of the students we serve each day. It is such a joy to be greeted in the mornings and hallways by students who return a “good morning” or “hello” with kindness and respect. The majority of our students consistently wear their IDs, dress appropriately, and show courtesy to their teachers and peers.
It is also heartening to see our staff working together to create a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all students. They are present during transitions and are proactive in helping students. This spirit of community is what makes SMS such a special place.
As we continue to grow this sense of belonging, we encourage our parents to stay involved, volunteer when possible, and remain present in our school community. Your support makes a true difference, and we are grateful for all you do to partner with us in your child’s education.
Please join us at our Open House on Tuesday, September 30th.
Thank you for being an important part of the SMS family.

DRESS CODE: we began full enforcement of the dress code Friday. Remember, students who are not dressed in appropriate school attire will be asked to change into a PE shirt or shorts. Please review the dress code infographic below and attached. The principal has the final say in the appropriateness of school attire.
SAFETY
If your child is a walker, bicycle rider, or E-Bike rider, please talk to your child about not crossing in front of the car line entrance/exit. It is not a cross walk. Additionally, students riding E-bikes are not allowed at any time in our car line. All students should walk their bicycles and E-bikes until they are off campus. Thank you!
