  • Superintendent Search Overview

The School Board of Sarasota County has opened the search process for the District’s next Superintendent of Schools. The selection of a Superintendent to lead our schools is one of the most important decisions our School Board makes. It’s a decision that impacts students, parents, employees and our entire Sarasota County community.

During this search process, public involvement will be welcomed. A Community Advisory Committee made up of community members chosen by our School Board members and who represent a cross-section of Sarasota County will take part in the search. An online survey will also be utilized to give our community a voice in this process.

We will also use this section to list other important information regarding the Superintendent Search, including all applications submitted by candidates, which will be posted as the search progresses.

We encourage members of our Sarasota County community to stay connected to keep up to date on the search.
