What to Expect:
- Gain an understanding of technology and the concept of design for manufacturing, study workplace safety and workplace organization, workplace communication skills, and essential machine operation
- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately; graphic design and computer-aided drawing, quality assurance methods and quality control concepts, use precision measurement tools and instruments, and understand modern business practices.
- Develop skills in computer-aided manufacturing and flexible manufacturing planning; produce a product via a master project; manual milling machines, computer-numeric-control machines
- Receive training on 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, plasma cutting, metal bending, collaborative robotic, and automated production equipment
- Learn how select production processes, welding systems, and robotic systems used in manufacturing
- Study mechanisms, AC/DC electrical control, programmable logic control, fluid power, and maintenance of technological systems
