Jacob Lasorso Named STC’s 2021 Teacher of the Year

Jacob Lasorso, the Advanced Manufacturing and Production Technology teacher has been named the 2021 Teacher of the Year. In addition to Advanced Manufacturing and Production Technology, he also teaches students from Drafting, CNC, Machining, Electrical, and Marine Service.

“The things that set Mr. Lasorso apart from other teachers are his genuine interest in his students and his in-depth knowledge of his teaching field. He is a very strong role model for his students in many ways.  During both my class enrollment and my internship with Mr. Lasorso, he impacted my life by instilling in me responsibility, self-confidence and good work ethics.” Said former student Chris Nicola. 

“I was humbled when they walked through the door. I didn’t expect to be the winner but I’m definitely very excited to know that all my efforts are noticed and appreciated.” said Lasorso.
