New Hire 1st Election Deadlines for FRS:

Newly hired board-appointed employees will need to select either the Pension plan or Investment plan for the Florida Retirement System (FRS).  If a retirement plan choice is not received by the 1st Election deadline, members initially enrolled in the FRS on or after January 1, 2018 will default to the Investment Plan. Special Risk Class (police, fire, etc.) will default to the Pension Plan.

FRS will be holding on-site "New Employee Retirement Plan Choice" workshops on the following dates:

  • 10/14/19 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm at the Employee Health and Benefits Fair at STC. Registration
  • 1/15/20 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Landings in Blue 219. Registration
