Sarasota High School Praises AICE Students on Another Successful School Year

SARASOTA COUNTY, September 21, 2020 – This past school year, Sarasota High School had one of its most successful school years in its history of participating in the Cambridge University AICE program. In the 2019-2020 school year, Cambridge University designated Sarasota High School as a demonstration center school.

Demonstration center schools must meet specific criteria in their educational values, leadership mission, and diversity of their school community, as well as exhibit success in implementing the curriculum of the program to their students. Sarasota High School is setting the example that new Cambridge schools will be able to emulate. This distinction will allow the school to showcase their expansive AICE program as well as share the perspectives of their administrators, teachers, and students with those who are just beginning on the Cambridge pathway.

Now in its tenth year, Sarasota High School has the longest running AICE program in the district. The school’s success in the 2019-2020 school year is best exemplified by the outstanding performance of its AICE students. Sarasota High School’s AICE students passed 1,760 exams this past spring, causing the school to reach its highest number of diplomas awarded at AICE: 164.

Congratulations to the students and staff affiliated with Saraosta High School’s AICE program on another amazing school year!
