Congratulations Kyle Eller - Suncoast Technical College's CTE Student of the Year!

Congratulations to Kyle Eller, Suncoast Technical College's CTE Student of the Year!

Kyle Eller, a Junior at SPHS and had been in Mrs. Walker’s Emergency Medical Responder class during the 2018-2019 school year, and currently remains a SkillsUSA member.  As a Sophomore, Kyle competed in First Aid/CPR.  Winning GOLD in Regionals, and SILVER at the State competition.  Within the first week of the 2019-2020 school year, Kyle informed Mrs. Walker that he was ready to win GOLD at the STEM competition and Regional, State and National SkillsUSA Championships.  Kyle placed First in both the STEM competition and the SkillsUSA Regional competition. The remainder of the competitions would have to wait until next year, as they have been cancelled.

Kyle was nominated by Mrs. Walker to be considered as STC’s CTE Student of the Year for his compassion to assist others, determination to succeed, and mastery of skills demonstrations in his CTE program of choice.

To make this a memorable event during this time of social distancing, Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Mayes surprised Kyle at his home to present him with his plaque and certificate recognizing Kyle as STC’s CTE Student of the Year.

Congratulations Kyle!
