Diane Jorge has been an integral member of the North Port High Staff. She is constantly balancing her duties of running the Media Center at a school of 2500 students while housing students working on their virtual courses. Whenever there is a need for someone to help pick up students when a teacher is out, Diane is always open and willing. There are times that she has to navigate watching her class while ensuring another class or two are checked in and working on whatever assignment has been left. She never complains about being asked to take on the additional responsibility and stress, and always handles the situations skillfully. In addition to being a great employee she’s also a great school “neighbor”. For the holidays she makes little stockings for everyone who works around her area and makes them feel welcomed and valued. She is a phenomenal employee and colleague.
