We care deeply about our students, staff, families, and community. Now, more than ever, Sarasota County Schools is committed to providing social emotional support for every student.
I’m excited to share that the district has added new, expanded resources to its mental health page on the district website. These resources are aligned with the state required components for mental health education. This webpage will be updated frequently and will include new activities, information, and resources to help foster the skills necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Topics will include things like developing healthy coping strategies, managing emotions, and school and community resources. You can find this information by visiting www.sarasotacountyschools.net/mentalhealth.
Please encourage your child to visit this webpage. We hope you will take this time to also engage in the videos and activities with your child. If you need additional information or support, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s school counselor, social worker, or psychologist. Thank you, and please continue to practice healthy hygiene habits and stay safe!
