A message from Dr. Moore, your Proud Principal
I want to share how proud we are of our students for finishing a traumatic year with resilience and perseverance. We applaud your success! I also want to remind everyone that we are working hard to build culturally responsive schools, which will, in turn, build our culturally responsive community. Everyone in our school has the right to learn and work without fear of harm. We will all interrupt racism because racism is not acceptable on any level. We will also address all incidents of hate and bias if they arise, with a model that emphasizes “communication, empathy, reconciliation, and support to those who are harmed." We know many of you have demonstrated peacefully and we are so proud of you for expressing yourselves in a positive way. Please continue to express yourself responsibly on social media, through your words and through your interactions. Just know, your school and school district will continue to find ways to work towards an environment that is fully inclusive and free of racism and bias. The school district will soon announce an opportunity for students to participate in a virtual forum on this topic so that we can hear your thoughts and voice on this important issue.
