Important Information – School Board Work Session & Meeting on April 21

SARASOTA COUNTY, April 14, 2020 – As a result of the public health emergency that exists in the State of Florida as a result of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and in light of the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the protection of all members of the community, and with the authority granted by Executive Orders issued by Governor Ron DeSantis – including Executive Order 20-69 (Emergency Management – COVID-19 – Local Government Public Meetings), the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida gives notice that it will conduct a meeting using telephonic conferencing technology on April 21, 2010 at 12:00 PM (Work Session) and 3:00 PM (Meeting). 

The public can watch these Board meetings by viewing the Education Channel or the District YouTube channel, or listening to the meeting live by calling either of the following toll free phone numbers: 1-(888) 475-4499 OR 1-(877) 853-5257. Then, when prompted, use the ID number 532 549 747.

The public can offer public comment by emailing comments to the following email address: The email address will be open to receive public comment on Monday, April 20 and all emails received by 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, will be provided to Board members in advance of the 3:00 PM meeting and will be posted on the School Board’s website along with the minutes of the Board Meeting. The public is advised that this email address will be used solely for obtaining public comments for the Board meeting and should not be used for other purposes or questions. All comments received will be public records.
