NOTE: Students accepted into a Business Program, who have COMPLETED coursework in Digital Information Technology and have earned the Microsoft 2016 (or more recent) bundle certification, to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, may opt out of OTA0040 and move directly into the next course in sequence. Microsoft bundle certifications on versions prior to 2016 will NOT allow a student to be eligible for opting out of OTA0040.
This program is designed to prepare students for employment as Information Technology Assistants, Computer Programmer Aides, Junior Programmers, Computer Programming Specialists, and Computer Programmers while providing supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in any of these occupations.
The course also provides an approach to effective programming that combines study, research and practice, in order to adapt to changing computing environments.
