NOTE: Students accepted into a Business Program, who have COMPLETED coursework in Digital Information Technology and have earned the Microsoft 2016 (or more recent) bundle certification, to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, may opt out of OTA0040 and move directly into the next course in sequence. Microsoft bundle certifications on versions prior to 2016 will NOT allow a student to be eligible for opting out of OTA0040.
The Digital Design Program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in digital publishing positions.
Content includes enhanced practical experiences and design principles in computer generated art and text, graphic design, graphic production, electronic design skills, preparation of electronic layouts and illustrations, electronic scanning, and development of specialized skills in both print and web page development. Software used in the course is Adobe Creative Cloud―Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and also Word Press and Acrobat which prepares students to enter into the digital publishing industry.
