Hello VES Families & Community, and welcome to the 2021–2022 school year! The Venice Elementary School staff is thrilled to work with you and our students this year. Last year our school experienced amazing levels of success, and VES is proud of our long-standing “A” rating! We know that this is a shared achievement, and we are extremely proud of the efforts of our students, faculty and staff, families, and community members who work so diligently to ensure the success of our Little Indians. YOU help make VES an amazing school!
VES has a rich tradition of phenomenal family and community involvement, and we are incredibly grateful for this aspect of our school. If you are interested in becoming a VES volunteer for the 2021-2022 school year, please be sure to complete the volunteer application; it can take several days for your application to be approved. You can complete the application in the VES front office or by following this link on your computer or device: Volunteer Information. If you anticipate being a volunteer at VES this school year, field trips included, then it is important to apply or renew your application ASAP.
Our school office will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. during the school year. Students who choose to eat breakfast at school will be able to do so as early as 8:00 a.m. Our remaining students will be able to enter the school and go to their classrooms at 8:15 a.m. The school day begins at 8:30 a.m., and any students not in their classroom by that time will be marked as tardy.
Our school day ends at 3:15 p.m. It is very important that your child remains in school for the duration of the day. However, if your child does need to leave school early and is being picked up by someone that is not a parent/guardian, written permission from the residing parent is required.
Safety is a top priority at VES, so we require all visitors to our campus to sign-in at the front office and obtain a visitor’s badge. When you are on campus, we also ask that you wear your badge in a visible location. Thank you in advance for helping to ensure the safety of the students and adults at VES.
Thank you for visiting our website and learning more about Venice Elementary School. We also encourage you to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and the SCS App for regular school updates and glimpses of the top-notch teaching and learning taking place on our campus.
We are thrilled to spend this year with you and your children, and we look forward to an amazing year filled with exciting learning and life-long memories. If we can ever be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Welcome to Venice Elementary School!
