As Principal and the instructional leader of this school, my main goal is to ensure that the academic, social and emotional needs of our students are attended to on a daily basis in the safest, secure and nurturing learning environment possible. In addition, it is my focus to insure the Toledo Blade community, which is inclusive of our families and supporting business partners, are included as an integral part of our team which undoubtedly translates into increased levels of success for our students! 

Recognized as a “Florida Title One Distinguished School”, a Golden School, a Five Star School, and the Sarasota South County Gifted Cluster Site (SOAR Program), we're proud that so many families have made it a point to select Toledo Blade Elementary as the school for them! It is truly an honor and privilege to serve the families of the North Port community.

    SARASOTA COUNTY, September 13, 2019 – Please note that Sarasota County Schools’ Information Technology department will performing necessary maintenance on network severs on Friday, September 13 starting at 5:30 PM and lasting until 11:00 PM. This will make Gradebook, Business Systems, Email, Blackboard temporarily unavailable.

    SARASOTA COUNTY, September 12, 2019 – Booker High School’s principal, Dr. Rachel Shelley, was recently named the Florida Art Education Association’s 2019 Principal of the Year for her support of the arts in education.
