At Sarasota High School, we offer a variety of academic experiences, athletics, and student activities that suit all the students we serve. The opportunities as a Sailor are endless, whether that’s earning college credit in our nationally recognized Cambridge AICE program, flying through the air in our Circus Arts Magnet, tending the greenhouses in our Agriscience program, pursuing your passions in the visual/performing arts, or being a champion in your sport. We are committed to helping our students become well-rounded citizens and encouraging them to get involved in their school and our SHS community.

SHS Tutoring and ACT/SAT Prep
Attention Sailors! We are now offering tutoring services for our students. Each of the core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) are covered. We are also providing ACT/SAT Prep sessions for the Reading and Math sections. Please take advantage of this awesome, free opportunity to help improve your grades and test scores!

District Announces New Principal of Sarasota High School
Sarasota County Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Ryan Chase – the current Principal of Brookside Middle School – has been selected to serve as the next Principal of Sarasota High School. Chase will begin his new role on Monday, September 25.

The Education Action Team of the League of Women Voters of Sarasota (LWVSRQ) in partnership with Sarasota County Public Schools, is sponsoring an essay, poster, and video contest, “YVOTE”, for high school students who will share their thoughts on the importance of voting.
