Mrs. Holly Staley, Principal
Opening its doors in 1953, Phillippi has created a rich tradition of academic excellence and an exceptional reputation based on student achievement, staff professionalism, and parent involvement. In 2005, the school was rebuilt with a “state of the art” learning facility! Our school continues to soar “Up and Beyond” which is reflected in the accomplishments and achievements of our students! Our continued success is due to a team effort involving students, staff, parents, and community members.
In 2007, Phillippi successfully completed the authorization process, to earn the designation as an International Baccalaureate PYP School! As an IB school, we build on the natural curiosity of children through structured inquiry, encouraging our students to be lifelong learners. At each grade level, the students explore six different IB units. From the kindergarten unit focused on the understanding of scientific principles through investigation stations to our fifth graders exploring the effects of occupational choices in a global world, our IB program adds depth to the learning experience.
In addition to our IB program, we pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming family environment. Throughout the school year, there are many wonderful events and activities for all our students and families. From Pumpkin Night and the 5K in the fall to Mile Club and the Talent Show in the spring, there are many exciting family events for all our Phillippi Falcons! Thank you for taking the time to view our website. We invite you to visit our school and talk with our wonderful, dedicated staff! You will see the rich educational opportunities our students experience every day. Enjoy the remainder of your online journey!
