Mr. Raymond Wilson, Principal
Dear LNS Families and Community,
Welcome to Laurel Nokomis School. It is an esteemed privilege to serve as Principal at where the school culture is immersed in academic excellence. Our focus as educators will continue to be on preparing students for college and careers by developing essential skills and behaviors in a safe, supportive environment. Our teachers provide relevant, engaging content while building strong relationships with all students and families. According to the Niche report, LNS remains in the top 2% of schools for student achievement. Laurel Nokomis is also recognized as a FIVE STAR school for its community partnerships.
My vision for LNS is to expand upon its rich heritage by setting high expectations, supported by reflective instructional practices and uncompromising commitment. I believe in a leadership approach that values input and promotes shared decision making. I am confident that you will experience my genuine care for students and willingness to work closely with teachers, parents, and community members to help LNS arrive at the next level. The best way to accomplish goals is to first surround yourself with a positive team. The team at LNS make me feel very welcome, truly a pot of gold. I am very passionate about empowering students to help them achieve their greatest success. Every decision we make as educators should have student achievement at its core. We must always reflect by asking ourselves how we can better serve our students. I plan to give my all to LNS—nothing less.
Our partnership with our families and community is a vital part of the success of LNS. We encourage you to become involved, whether through our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), School Advisory Council (SAC) or one of the many volunteer opportunities aimed to support students in the classroom. Your feedback and support are essential to our continued improvement. I am excited about the partnerships we will build upon. Go Lightning!!!!
