Register a Child for School

Registrations and enrollments can now be submitted online through the Focus Parent Portal. 

Note: Depending on the time of year and the volume of registrations received, the processing time can drastically increase due to volume and missing items.

Please click on the link below that applies to your student for the 2024-25 School Year:

First time, New Student Registration

Examples:  

  • Student entering Kindergarten.  

  • Student who has never attended a Sarasota County School.

Student Returning to SCS Registration

Examples:

  • Attended a Sarasota County School and is returning after leaving the district.

  • Attended a Sarasota County School and is returning after Home Education.

Current Student Re-Registration

Example:

  • Currently attending a Sarasota County School and will attend a Sarasota County School the next school year.

2023-24 School Year Registration:

  • First-time Sarasota County Students that will attend during April and/or May 2024 contact the registrar of your zoned school for the registration form link

 STEP 1 - Search Attendance Zones

Determine which school district you live in:

  • If you do not know, click the link above.

  • Next, enter your address in the School Zone by the Address bar.

  • Your districted schools for Elementary, Middle and High School will automatically populate.

STEP 2 - Contact Your Registrar

  • First-time Sarasota County Students that will attend during April and/or May 2024 contact the registrar of your zoned school for the registration form link
