Human Resource Development (HRD)
FDLRS Human Resource Development (HRD) Specialists have knowledge of evidence-based practices and resources in the areas of accommodations, behavior and classroom management, differentiating instruction, instructional strategies, explicit instruction, IEP development, Matrix of Services, Universal Design for Learning, and other Florida Department of Education initiatives.
FDLRS HRD Specialists collaborate with school district personnel, community agencies, educational service providers, and other stakeholders to plan, deliver, follow-up, and evaluate data-based professional learning opportunities.

BEESS Professional Learning Alternatives
Are you looking for quality professional development learning opportunities?
FDLRS provides a variety of ways to earn in-service points. Free online professional learning is available statewide through the BEESS Portal to Professional Learning Alternatives (PLA). Our PLA courses are designed to assist Florida educators with various instructional and behavioral support needs to maximize achievement for all students. Each course contains high quality, up-to-date content and engaging, online activities. Facilitated Courses follow a posted schedule. Independent Study Courses are available year-round.
The BEESS Portal to Professional Learning (PLA) courses are available to all Florida educators for statewide registration. All PLA course titles consist of the same course content with varying dates and group meeting times. Please ensure you select a PLA course that meets your personal recertification needs and schedule.
