In the United States, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.  Beginning at the age of 40, women should talk with their doctor about having an annual mammogram, especially if certain risk factors exist.  Breast cancer is most treatable when found early, and routine screening is essential for early detection.
