The mission of the VHS Media Center is to provide a safe but stimulating learning environment where all students have the opportunity to easily access information for research and study.

Every student enrolled in Venice High School has the privilege of checking out media materials.  Three (3) items (not including textbooks) may be checked out for three weeks and are able to renew unless there is a request for the item.  Fines ($.05 per day) are charged for overdue items and students may not check out additional books with an overdue.

Students must have a signed Media Pass as well as a clear goal and objective to enter the Media Center during the instructional day, but are encouraged to utilize the Media Center before school, after school, and during lunch without a pass. Due to limited space and seating during the construction process, a cap will be placed on the number of students using the room.
