Sarasota County Schools invites families to attend this spring’s Parent University: Digital Parenting event on Thursday, May 22, 2025. The event will feature nationally recognized internet and technology safety expert Katie Greer, who will lead an important discussion on how families can stay one step ahead in today’s digital world.

As children and teens navigate an increasingly connected environment, it is more important than ever for parents and guardians to be equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to support their child’s digital well-being. During this district-wide event, participants will learn how to:

  • Stay informed about the latest technology trends and popular apps

  • Engage in meaningful conversations about online safety and responsible behavior

  • Conduct digital health checks to help children maintain a safe and balanced online presence

Two in-person sessions will be offered, with a virtual option available for each location.
