Welcome to another exciting year at Laurel Nokomis School! It is an esteemed privilege to continue serving as your Principal, where our culture is deeply rooted in academic excellence. As we move forward together, our unwavering focus remains on preparing students for their futures by developing rigorous academics and essential skills in a safe, supportive environment. Our dedicated teachers continue to provide relevant, engaging content while building strong, meaningful relationships with all students and families.

Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the passion, talent, and commitment that make Laurel Nokomis such a special place. We continue to work to build upon our rich heritage by setting high expectations, supporting reflective instructional practices, and maintaining an uncompromising commitment to excellence. I believe deeply in a leadership style that values input, promotes shared decision-making, and fosters a collaborative culture. It has been a joy to work closely with our incredible teachers, parents, and community members—and I look forward to strengthening these partnerships even more in the year ahead.

Empowering students and keeping their achievement at the center of every decision continues to drive our work. I am passionate about creating an environment where every child feels seen, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. This year, our theme is to Electrify Learning ⚡while we continue to focus on our three priorities: communicate & collaborate, instructional intentionality, and clarify systems.

Our partnership with families and the broader community is vital to our continued success. I encourage you to get involved through our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), School Advisory Council (SAC), or by volunteering in one of the many opportunities that support our students. Your feedback, presence, and partnership are key to our growth and improvement.
