About Cranberry Elementary

  • Cranberry is a Five Star School.

  • Cranberry Elementary first opened its doors in August 2003 on the Toledo Blade Elementary campus.  We moved into our current building in the summer of 2004.  We serve students in grades K-5 with two ESE Pre-K classes.

  • Cranberry is a mandatory uniform school.  For further information go to the Uniform Policy link.

  • In addition to instruction through the use of the Sarasota County Curriculum, Cranberry students participate in a variety of specials classes throughout the week including, Physical Education, Music, Art, Media, and Science Lab.  We have four computer labs available for classes to utilize throughout the day.

  • Our mascot is “Cooper” the cougar.  He visits the students during many celebrations held throughout the year.

School Expectations
As part of the Cranberry Elementary Positive Behavior Support program, students are expected to uphold the following values:

  • Be Respectful

  • Be Responsible

  • Be Ready to Learn

These values are recognized at school by staff who reward students with hole punches on their positive behavior card.  When a student receives 10 hole punches on their card they visit the PBS store to pick a prize and they "level up" with a new card.  At the end of each quarter, a Positive Behavior celebration is held to reward those students who have shown these values throughout the quarter.

Mission
Cranberry Elementary School will establish a climate of community and cooperation among all students, parents, teachers, and staff so that all students can reach their fullest potential.
