CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)

  • The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) allocated funds to Suncoast Technical College to be distributed directly to students as emergency financial aid grants to help cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus (COVID-19). These funds were made available to students for emergency financial aid to cover needs such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare, and childcare.
         Student eligibility was determined according to guidance from the Department of Education which directed the College to place HEERF funds in the hands of as many eligible students as possible, and to distribute funds based on the financial needs of students. Therefore, STC is providing funds for all students deemed eligible based on the submission of the STC HEERF funds application.
    **Eligible students are Adults who have been enrolled in STC Career Certificate Programs from March 13, 2020 to present.

HOW DO I APPLY?

  • To access & complete your HEERF Emergency Financial Aid Grants Scholarship Application, please follow the steps below.

    1. Click the CARES Act BUTTON (shown on this page) to access the Login Page.
    2. Enter your S# or N# (not including the 'S' or 'N').
      Example: N123456 would simply be 123456
    3. Enter your Password (your birthday) in NUMBERS only. No dashes or slashes.
      Example: December 1, 1985 woud simply be: 12011985
    4. Go to FORMS and click HEERF Emergency Financial Aid Grants Scholarship Application OR click the "To apply for HEERF funds, click this link" in the ANNOUNCEMENTS section.
