The attached memorandum contains important delivery dates and price information for the 2021-2022 Student Accident Insurance Program. This program is offered by Sarasota County Schools as a service to parents. The District does not profit from the sale of any policy. Also attached is the application you will be receiving to distribute to each student.
It is important for parents to understand if their child is injured at school, the District does not have an insurance medical plan that provides coverage for students and the District is not responsible to pay their medical bills. The voluntary Student Accident Insurance Program is a good option for those families concerned about their out-of-pocket medical expenses associated with accidental injuries.
