Student Organizations
Participation in technical student organizations is encouraged. Those who participate in activities are better prepared for employment and further education. Corresponding student organization fees are automatically assessed upon enrollment unless students request to opt out. For more information about these organizations, students may speak with their program instructor.

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
HOSA is a national organization for students participating in health science programs. The mission is to enhance delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skills and leadership development, therefore helping the student meet the needs
of the health care community. STC Health Science students have demonstrated compassionate hearts & hands, and leadership skills while participating in HOSA.

National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)
Students with academic honors at STC are recognized by their instructors for their achievements with induction into the National Technical Honor Society. Each honor society member has completed over 60% of their technical program, earned an “A” average in their course work every quarter, and consistently displayed an “A+” attitude. They demonstrate dependability through daily attendance and punctuality. They assume responsibility, stay on task, and serve as role models for their peers. When they entered STC, they made a commitment to the standard of excellence, and they followed through on that commitment.

SkillsUSA
Members compete on a regional, state, and national level. Competitions are judged by individuals from business and industry.
- Is a national organization that serves all business, technical and health science high school and adult students and instructors.
- Is an applied method of instruction for preparing America's high performance workers in public career and technical programs. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills.
- Emphasizes total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education, and pride in the dignity of work. SkillsUSA also promotes understanding of the free-enterprise system and involvement in community service.
Is a partnership of students, instructors and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. It helps each student excel.
