Scholarship Search Engine l Student Success Center Junior Packet
All seniors will need to see us to create their file, and personal plans, for after high school. We will continue to visit all senior English classrooms in September to help them jump-start their plan. In addition, we will see seniors before school and after school for appointments and at lunches to answer questions and help students execute their plans. (helping with college apps, cs hours, testing; FAFSA, scholarship and BF forms; military and tech/trade programs, straight-to-work programs) Parent FAFSA Night will be coming in October when FAFSA opens.
Junior classroom visits begin in December/January. We will start to prepare students for life after high school. The focus is on ACT/SAT/ASVAB test preparation, career exploration, and related college research. Junior Parent Night takes place in the spring.
Freshman and Sophomore class presentations will take place from December through May. Topics include high school success, such as goal-setting and organizational skills, self-discovery, and career exploration.
College Rep Visits take place at the SSC in the fall and are for juniors and seniors. Students and parents will be notified of the colleges/dates/times via the Student Success Center Band App and the SHS website. Students will need a pass from their teacher to participate.
Stay tuned and in touch by being a part of our Student Success Center Band Apps! Follow the QR codes to sign in and start getting important information right away.
