I am Mr. LoStorto and this will be my 17th year of teaching, and all those years have been here at Tuttle.  My inspiration to be a teacher comes from my supportive wife, Heather.   I have two wonderful daughters, Madelyn and Lauren.  Madelyn just turned 17 years old and will be a senior at Sarasota High.  Lauren is almost 13 and will be a 7th grader at Booker Middle.  I love all the subjects, but my favorite subject to teach is Math.  We occasionally get a visit from my friend, Dr. Math (it’s just me), and he shows us the importance of showing our work.  To succeed in my class, all you need to do is try!  Giving effort is essential to learning and being successful at life.  You don’t know it yet, but I am your biggest fan!  Today is not just another day!

I am proud to say I have been a Tuttle fifth grade teacher for all 19 years of my teaching career. I often joke that I have not graduated fifth grade yet. Tuttle holds a special place in my heart for many reasons including the incredible memories I have of my own now adult children attending Tuttle in the early 2000’s and having the opportunity to watch them grow at school. I enjoy exploring science and social studies with my students and get excited when former students visit and share their learning journeys. Encouraging students to collaborate and problem solve is very rewarding and creates a very active classroom community. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, playing and reading with my granddaughter and traveling. With effort and positivity, I know all students can grow and succeed!

Hello, my name is Ms. Sanders and I am full of surprises.  In addition to being a teacher, I own my own shoe business and was even a professional golfer.  I love to travel and spoil my 3 dogs and cat Boots.  I have taught math at Tuttle for 6 years but have been teaching it for 11 years total.  My favorite math unit is Geometry.  In my classroom, we use a lot of math manipulatives and go over many examples so everyone can be successful!

I am a product of two wonderful educators. I was born and raised in Manatee County and I attended Manatee High School. My career in education began in 1992 after graduating from Florida A&M University (FAMU)! I started teaching at Toledo Blade Elementary and then I moved to Tuttle Elementary. I just completed my 29th year teaching in Sarasota County Schools. I have taught grades two, three, four and five.

I have a young adult daughter whom I adore and cherish immensely.  My husband and I enjoy traveling, reading, and watching our favorite TV shows

I am elated to go on this new school year journey and meet my next set of students.  This definitely will be a year to remember!
