How are the BMS Cambridge Academy students prepared for the future?
BMS Cambridge learners build more than just a deep understanding of their subject. Being a student of the BMS Cambridge Academy means developing higher order thinking skills. They apply what they have learned to solving problems creatively and thinking for themselves. Students will be able to self-design projects and communicate the results. The BMS Cambridge Academy encourages students to develop the attributes of the Cambridge Learner--confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged. They learn how to succeed in tomorrow's world.
BMS Cambridge Academy students are equipped with the skills they need to succeed both at the university and beyond. Students graduating from the BMS Cambridge Academy Cohort are accepted and valued by employers and universities around the world, including MIT, Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge.
Cambridge Academy Eligibility Requirements
Due to the rigorous nature fo the Booker Middle Cambridge Academy curriculum, the program and classes are only open to those students who regularly perform at high academic levels.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum level 3 or higher on the Florida Standards Assessment Reading and Mathematics or equilavent standardized assessment.
- Recommendation letters from two current teachers/school personnel.
- Review and signature of grade and behavior contract.
- Completion of the BMS Cambridge Academy Application.
