Who can sign out my child from school during the day?

During school hours, students may be released only to individuals who are authorized by the parent or legal guardian to pick them up.  A parent or legal guardian must have this individual already on their contact list in the Student Information System (SIS). Per the Sarasota County School Board policy, this individual must be 18 years of age or older even if they are a sibling or relative of the student and they must present a Driver’s License for identification. Students who have a driver’s license are permitted to sign themselves out with a parent note.
