The Record Retention Center oversees the management of the School Board of Sarasota County's records and forms. Center procedures are mandated by Florida State Statute and School Board policy.
Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by telephone or in writing.
The Record Retention Center maintains the records of former students, personnel and other district documents. Records may be requested using the links provided. A written signature is required before any request can be processed. For verification purposes, a legible copy of your driver's license, State ID, or another form of photo identification showing your name, date of birth and signature is also required. After completing the appropriate form, either mail, fax or email the request and the copy of your photo ID, as noted at the top of the form.
REQUESTS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT PROPER IDENTIFICATION.
Record Retention is closed from December 23, 2019 – January 3, 2020 for the winter holiday. We resume regular office hours on January 6, 2020. All record requests will be processed in the order of date and time received.
