Level 1 Volunteering
Level 1 is the starting point for all volunteering. You must be Level 1 approved before you can be Level 2 approved. With a Level 1 clearance, you must stay within eye and earshot of a school faculty member or teacher at all times.
To become a Level 1 volunteer, you should:
- Sign up! Fill out and complete the District's Volunteer Application You will be able to do this from home or at the Office of Community Involvement (OCI) the Landings. Once you complete your application and background check through JDP, OCI will notify you when approved.
- Reach out! Once approved, you will be added to the school's approved volunteer list. If you are eager, reach out to schools so you can get started ASAP!
- Find the best fit! If you aren't sure where you want to volunteer or what you want to do, contact the school district's Office of Community Involvement to find a school that needs your specific skill set.
