Meet the Chief of Police Tim Enos
Chief Timothy (Tim) Enos holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University, is a 28-year law enforcement veteran and has been recognized as a subject matter expert in school safety and security.
Chief Enos has presented his “Bullying and Cyber Bullying: Anti-social Behavior” program at the National Conference on Bullying 2012-2017. In 2015 Tim received the Presidential Citation for his dedication to the reduction of school bullying from the School Safety Advocacy Council (SSAC) and the Leadership Award for School Policing from the Los Angeles School Police Department.
Before becoming Chief, Tim was the Bureau Commander of the Emergency Operations Bureau and supervisor of the Youth Services Section and the Crime Prevention Unit for the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. Tim has held assignments as a road patrolman, patrol field training officer, school resource officer, detective in the criminal investigations section, patrol corporal and sergeant and lieutenant in the Youth Services Section.
Chief Enos served as a Senior Instructor for the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) and currently sits on the board of directors for the Florida Association of School Resource Officers as Executive Director and the School Safety Advocacy Council as an advisory board member.
Tim has three children (Kyle, Madison, Carson) and has been a baseball coach for 21 years.
