• The Materials Management Department is comprised of four district and separate groups providing related services to the district.

    The purchasing group processes requisitions and issues purchase orders, issues bids, and assists with furniture acquisition for new building projects.  Included under Purchasing is the Warehouse which provides a convenient source of consumable supplies for order by the various departments and schools.

    Fixed Assets Accounting 
    The Fixed Assets group is responsible for marking and inventorying furniture, fixtures, and equipment valued in excess of $1,000.  This area also manages the auctioning of surplus equipment.

    Print Services (Print Shop)
    Print Services provides copying, printing, and bindery services for the district.

    Record Retention 
    The Record Retention Center oversees the management of the School Board of Sarasota County's records and forms. Center procedures are mandated by Florida State Statute and School Board policy.

    Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.  Instead, contact this office by telephone or in writing. 

    The Record Retention Center maintains the records of former students, personnel and other district documents. Records may be requested using the links provided. A written signature is required before any request can be processed. For verification purposes, a legible copy of your driver's license, State ID, or another form of photo identification showing your name, date of birth and signature is also required. After completing the appropriate form, either mail, fax or email the request and the copy of your photo ID, as noted at the top of the form.
