Welcome to Cranberry
Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Brad Porinchak, Principal
Welcome back Cougars to an exciting 2019-20 school year! I trust that everyone had a relaxing summer. Our staff looks forward to continue “making tracks toward excellence” as we work together to engage our students, families and community.
We are especially excited this year to welcome Alison Rini as our Assistant Principal. She brings a ton of experience and has been with Sarasota County schools for some time now. Alison is a wonderful addition to our Cranberry family.
Alison and I will be working hard to maintain high achievement levels by ensuring that teachers and staff have high expectations for students and staff. To support our commitment to providing students with a high-quality education, we will be focusing on making learning visible and high expectation teaching. We want students to be able to know what they are learning, why they are learning and know what are their next steps. We are excited to work with our little cougars and watch them reach their highest potential.
Please review your copy of the Student/Family Handbook. We ask that you familiarize yourself with our school policies and procedures. You may also access it through our website (under Resources).
We are looking to expand our School Advisory Council (SAC) membership. Please consider being a part of this important Council. We meet once a month at 3:45 pm. A signup sheet will be sent home the first week of school. Be on the lookout for it.
We are excited to have a Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Let’s work together to enrich the lives of our students.
